Wellness Visits

The key to keeping your pet happy & healthy is to have regular wellness examinations here at Hononegah Animal Hospital.

Wellness Visits

A wellness visit is sometimes known as a physical examination or a checkup. You should not put off seeing a veterinarian until your pet becomes unwell. A wellness exam’s purpose is to ensure that your pet’s health is as good as it can be.

Your veterinarian will begin by questioning your pet’s nutrition, exercise, thirst, and elimination routines during the wellness visit. You’ll also be asked about the pet’s personality, habits, manner of life, breathing, and overall health. Following that, your veterinarian will do a physical examination and make health recommendations based on the findings.

Our hospital recommends testing annually for intestinal parasites and heartworms-discuss intestinal parasites and heartworms with zoonotic potential.

During the wellness exam, the veterinarian will do a physical examination. Examining your pet’s general look, examining various parts of the body, and listening to the chest with a stethoscope is all part of the procedure. The pet’s weight and overall health will be evaluated. The veterinarian will assess your dog or cat’s posture and stride to determine whether he is sharp and alert.

Our team will check:
