Our Veterinary Team

Born and raised in Verona, WI, Dr. Tracy Adas is a 1995 graduate of the Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. She has practiced small animal medicine since graduation and has been a valued member of Hononegah Animal Hospital since 2005. In her free time, she loves reading, hiking, and spending quality time with her family—both two-footed and four-footed.

Dr. Fluegel is a 1983 graduate of the University Of Illinois College Of Veterinary Medicine. She also has a Master’s in Public Health.
When not at work she enjoys training and showing her dogs, walking, and reading.

Practice Manager/CVT

Devon Anderson, our Practice Manager, has over ten years of experience practicing veterinary medicine and is a licensed veterinary technician with a master’s in public health. Devon’s passion lies in providing pets care when they need it most. And when not managing the clinic, Devon can be found playing the cello!

Paige joined Hononegah Animal Hospital in October 2024. She graduated from Rockford Career College in 2020 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology and became a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) after passing the VTNE board exam in July 2021. Prior to joining our team, she gained valuable experience working at Huntley Veterinary Hospital and Clinton Veterinary Clinic, spending two years at each.

For Paige, the best part of her job is making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners. She strives to ensure every patient feels as comfortable as possible and takes pride in improving their well-being. Paige has a particular passion for surgical care and is dedicated to providing each patient with the highest quality treatment.

Outside of work, Paige enjoys horseback riding and caring for her six horses, her pride and joy. Her love for animals began early, participating in 4-H for 10 years, where she honed her skills in showing horses and pigs while learning the responsibilities of animal care. Paige also enjoys outdoor activities like hunting and fishing with her family. She and her husband share their home with two Siamese mix cats and a chocolate Labrador named Ruger, who accompanies them on waterfowl hunting trips and brings them endless joy.

Veterinary Assistant

Thomas Murray brings four years of veterinary assistant experience to our team. A proud graduate of Beloit College, he has a soft spot for big dogs and enjoys working with them every day. Outside the clinic, you might catch him playing baseball, a sport he loves after four years on the field.

With two years of experience in the veterinary field, Marilyn loves building relationships with both pets and their families. And did we mention that she’s also a musician who can play six different instruments?

Shawna has spent over 8 ½ years in the veterinary world, where her favorite part is getting to love on everyone else’s pets. Her warmth and care make her a favorite among both clients and their furry family members!

Jessica brings three years of experience from her time at Banfield to Hononegah Animal Hospital. With an undergraduate degree in agriculture, she’s passionate about caring for animals and enjoys meeting new patients every day.

Jessica’s favorite animal is the chimpanzee, admired for its remarkable ability to communicate through sign language. She’s also a fan of the Planet of the Apes series, which aligns perfectly with her love for these intelligent creatures.

When she’s not at work, Jessica enjoys cooking, singing, and spending time watching movies with her husband and their beloved dog.

Ambassador for Feline Affairs

Hannah has been proudly representing all things feline at Hononegah Animal Hospital. With a passion for cat rights, she’s currently lobbying for legislation that mandates extra treats and daily cuddles for all cats.
