Veterinarian
Hononegah Animal Hospital is adding a veterinarian to our team! We have been developing long-lasting friendships with pets and owners in the Roscoe area for over two decades. Practice Manager

Position Summary:
Hononegah Animal Hospital l is excited to add a new member to our team! We are seeking a candidate with prior veterinary experience, great business acumen, and strong management skills who enjoys leading and developing a team. The role of the Practice Manager is to support the veterinary practice team and manage essential business functions in partnership with the Managing Doctor (DVM). In collaboration with the managing doctor, the practice manager is responsible for ensuring the practice’s profitability and a healthy culture rooted in high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service.
Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Skills preferred:
Leadership, Client centric, Business acumen, Critical thinking
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous management/supervisory experience required
- Previous veterinary experience is required
Essential Responsibilities:
- Financial:
- Driving revenue for practice growth
- Manage expenses including but not limited to drug and supplies, labor, and facility costs
- Assist in developing and maintaining salary schedules and job evaluations for all employees
- Provides input on an annual budget
- Human Resources:
- Triage in-house human resource issues and collaborate with the Human Resource team
- Establish and execute performance evaluations
- Veterinary Policies/Procedures:
- Establish internal operating procedures for the administration of the practice to ensure the accuracy and completeness of veterinary records and reports, their format, and compliance with accepted hospital practices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and laws, including, but not limited to, OSHA, DEA, EEOC, ADA, and the Department of Labor. Develop and maintain procedures necessary to meet regulatory requirements.
- Any other duties deemed necessary.
Competency:
- Basic Skills
- Understanding the critical balance between the administrative and clinic functions in the veterinary health care delivery system.
- Ability to apply the specialized principles and practices of veterinary practice management in directing the daily operation of this practice, thereby allowing the practitioners the time necessary to carry out their profession.
- Knowledge of hospital procedures outlined in the employee manual, as well as those that are implied (reasonable expectations).

- Ability to show unbiased judgment when managing people and make fair and just recommendations regarding personnel issues and/or disciplinary action.
- Work well with all employees and ensure that your actions support the hospital, the doctors, and the practice philosophy.
- Monitoring/Assessing your performance, other individuals’, or the practice to make improvements or take corrective action.

Certified Veterinary Technician
Our practice is excited to add another Credentialed Veterinary Technician to our team! We are looking for an individual who is good at communicating, organization, and multi-tasking, and who is ready to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate would have at least 1-2 years’ previous experience in veterinary medicine.
Candidate must have surgical experience.

Essential Functions:
- Able to perform basic animal handling and restraint
- Be able to accurately position for radiographs
- Assist veterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgery
- Perform in-hospital lab testing and prepare specimens for outside labs
- Assist veterinarians in outpatient exams by taking histories, vital signs, and weights as well as providing client education
- Collect and prepare diagnostic samples
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Assist in maintaining practice equipment
- Assist veterinarian performing surgery
- Assist veterinarians in any other assigned tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of surgery suite, treatment area, and exams rooms for all surfaces
- Support DEA compliance as it relates to the role
- Any other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications
- Previous veterinary medicine experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 40 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 40 pounds with assistance
- Practice OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE
- Computer skills, MS office applications, etc.

Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
