Blood Tests

A complete blood count, or CBC, is a type of blood test that measures many chemical processes taking place inside an animal’s body. These tests reveal information on red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets, all of which are linked to various illnesses, deficits, and infections. Other tests reveal information regarding the health of the internal organs. Bloodwork helps doctors diagnose metabolic changes and check the overall wellness of pets. Blood work is recommended any time your pet is not feeling well and is also advised before undergoing anesthetic procedures. Blood samples are sent to Idexx- a forerunner in diagnostic laboratory services.
